Asia Pacific will be a growth outperformer globally in 2018, and we expect real GDP growth to come in at 4.6% versus 3.1% for the global economy. Continued reforms across the region, greater trade integration, and increased investment due to China's rising influence are some of the factors that support our optimistic outlook. That said, there are still risks in the region in areas such as politics (due to upcoming elections and the growing terror threat) and economics (due to slowing housing markets). These risks could undermine investor confidence and weigh on the region's bright economic outlook.
